Injured Tourist and Missing Young’s Wife Return to Delaware | Law

James Jackson, the young African-American tourist who was severely beaten on Saturday in the La Perla neighborhood, in Old San Juan, and the young pregnant companion of the missing tourist Tariq Quadir Loat, returned yesterday to Delaware, where they have their homes.

Jackson, who left the Río Piedras Medical Center, told investigators with the Criminal Investigation Corps (CIC) that he preferred to be treated at a hospital in Delaware, dissatisfied with the care he received in Puerto Rico. The 23-year-old complained that he spent long hours on a stretcher without receiving care.
