The video of Beppe Grillo in defense of her son, who was indicted on rape charges, is one of the most debated topics in politics and beyond. Also Damiano David, frontman of the Maneskin and fresh winner of the Sanremo Festival 2021, he wanted to express his opinion: “I am not the prosecutor, and it is not up to me to judge innocence or guilt, that will be done by those in duty. I just want to talk to the people who support the thesis that if a rape is reported after eight days then it wasn’t rape. It is not so”.
Damiano appeared very sensitive on the subject and offered his point of view: “There are people, especially women, who realize a long time later and find the courage to report a long time later. Because we are used to thinking that many things are legitimate when in reality they are not and because there is a basic and educational problem ”. Finally, he made an appeal to his followers, trying to make them aware of such a delicate issue: “So please inform yourself and refrain from such inhumane statements. I ask at least my followers “.
