The outbreak of Covid-19 observed in Latvia last week is not significant, but the increase in the number of patients suggests that the public has lost vigilance too early, this morning in an interview with TV3 expressed the opinion of Riga Stradins University .

Vīksna admitted that in the fight against Covid-19, the company had removed “internal censors” for itself with the government’s decisions on relief and no longer so carefully observes the security measures, which also led to the outbreak of the disease.

Vīksnu is also concerned that there are quite a few people on the streets who have come from countries where people should not come to Latvia, such as Russia and Sweden, where the prevalence of Covid-19 is still very high.

Vīksna noted that the possible vaccine against Covid-19 is still unclear. In general, the specialist estimated that there is a great deal of urgency in finding solutions to this disease, as a result of which a lot of unverified information appears, which initially gives hope, but later turns out to be unfounded.
