A doctor of New Delhi, India, dr. Vivek Rai, tewas commit suicide by hanging himself at his house in the Malviya Nagar area.
Reported New Indian Express, Monday (3/5), the incident occurred on Saturday (1/5) last week.
Police said they received the report at 11:16 p.m. local time. After arriving at the location, they saw Vivek’s body hanging from a fan with her neck wrapped in a sari.
The 35-year-old doctor lives with his wife in the house. They claim Vivek wrote a note before committing suicide.
However, the note did not find the reason that triggered the doctor’s suicide.
“In the note it was addressed to family members and friends. Vivek wrote that he wanted to end his life and wish others to be happy. He did not mention a specific reason why he took that step. Nor did he accuse anyone,” said the police who handled the case. that, as reported The Print.
Police said the family also stated there were no irregularities in Rai’s death.
“His wife did not mention whether the deceased was stressed, disappointed or disturbed. The fact is that the deceased is busy in hospital due to the spike in Covid cases in Delhi, and the hospital where her husband works now only treats Covid patients. She also did not say whether Vivek had a history of depression. We will continue to collect information after the wife’s emotions stabilize, “said the police.
Vivek’s body was then unloaded and then taken to the morgue at the local hospital.
It is suspected that Vivek was depressed due to the spike in corona virus cases that occurred in the city, because he worked directly with Covid-19 infection patients every day.
