Several Hungarian companies have introduced mandatory coronavirus vaccination after the government announced three weeks ago that an employer could oblige employees to take the vaccine. As it turned out, there is a company in Hungary that, in addition to introducing compulsory vaccination to curb the spread of the coronavirus, also encourages its employees to take the opportunity in other ways.

The director of the Hungarian biorefinery shares the view that vaccination is the only way to prevent serious illness.

The company has therefore introduced a bonus for uranium vaccinations against coronavirus from 15 November and will also make vaccination compulsory for all its employees.

  • The company pays a net bonus of HUF 175,000 after the first vaccine dose.
  • A net bonus of HUF 175,000 will be paid for the second dose, which will be given within the prescribed time after the first dose.
  • Those who have previously taken the two vaccinations can receive a net bonus of HUF 360,000 for taking the third, booster vaccination. This also applies if someone has received it before or is taking the third dose by 1 January and those who are taking it after the prescribed dose as soon as possible.
  • The maximum amount of the bonus available is HUF 360,000 net.
  • The amount will be paid after the workers have presented the vaccination certificate.
  • Workers who do not take the vaccine by January 1 will be sent on unpaid leave.
  • Exemption from the provisions is for those who prove with a medical paper that they cannot be vaccinated for various health reasons.

Gergely Gulyás The prime minister announced at the end of October that the government had introduced several measures due to the rapidly deteriorating epidemic data. Accordingly, from 1 November:

  • at the suggestion of employers’ organizations, companies and businesses are given the right to require employees to be vaccinated as a condition of their work.
  • Masks must be worn on public transport from November 1st.
  • A ban on visits to health care facilities will be introduced. In social institutions, the heads of the institutions can decide on this.

  • from November 20 the use of masks is mandatory again indoors – in shopping malls, shops, theaters. In the case of services, wearing a mask is mandatory where more than five people are present in the business premises. Sports facilities are an exception. It is up to the principals to decide whether to wear a school mask.
  • Events of more than 500 people can only be attended with a security card.
  • In health care, the use of a third vaccine is also made mandatory.
