Increased visibility for the association: newsletter for members

After the MTV Apenrade sports club has increased its presence on Facebook, there is now a newsletter with which members are informed about work in the club and various offers. The president talks about the reasons.

“The newsletter reminds MTV and makes it more visible,” says Gösta Toft, president of the Men’s Gymnastics Club Apenrade (MTV Apenrade).

The first of these information letters will soon be sent to members and friends of the association. However, not as a letter, but in electronic form. This saves paper and costs and protects the environment.

Objective: to become more visible

For several years, the board of the association has been working to make MTV more visible. Why: “Our offerings are impressive,” says President Toft.

Especially the young people are fighting each other with great commitment. In cooperation with the German private school Apenrade and the German Youth Association for Northern Schleswig, various sports are offered in the school, but “the children and parents hardly notice them as what the club offers,” says Gösta Toft.

The board then enlisted the help of mass sports association DGI to prepare for public relations. In particular, secretary Maike Minor and cashier Anja Eggert set to work implementing the suggestions.

So it is a MTV Facebook Appearance started, where you can read about the activities, but also where the groups (for example the padel group) exchange information.

The newsletter shows the offers

Now the two have gone one step further and will soon publish the newsletter. The first issue includes the “good news” that youth club sports teacher Peter Feies is back.

You will also read that there are still vacancies in aqua fitness. This takes place in the Tingleffer Pool.

“We want to report on ongoing activities and show our members what we offer,” the plan says.

The MTV newsletter will come out four times a year.
