In Zubrnice, the film Gentlemen boys will be remembered, the main character will arrive

45 years have passed since the shooting of the popular film Gentlemen Boys. He will be remembered directly on the film track.

On Saturday morning, the Zubrnická museelní železnice association will commemorate 45 years since the shooting of the legendary film Mr. Boys. He will be remembered with the protagonist Michal Dymek.

He will board the train station in Levín, where the film is partly taking place, at 10:10 on the historic bus of the T32 tourist line (regular departure from Úštěk at 10:00). After arriving in Zubrnice at 10:30, Dymek will meet director Zdeněk Zelenka and they will remember shooting the film. Zelenka participated in the film as an assistant director.

“In the direction from Ústí nad Labem to Zubrnice, tourists can use regular trains of the T3 tourist line with a morning departure at 10:10 from Střekov,” added the statutory representative of the association Radek Kubala.

The railway line, which originally led from Velký Březno via Zubrnice and Lovečkovice to Úštěk, was abolished in 1978 by a decision of the then authorities. In the section Lovečkovice – Úštěk upper railway station, the line was demolished, although it remained partially preserved from Velký Březno to Lovečkovice, but the part from Zubrnice further to Lovečkovice is unusable.

In 2010, after 15 years of efforts, the association opened a six-and-a-half-kilometer-long section from Velký Březno to Zubrnice, where it has been operating tourist trains every weekend from April to October since 2016, with the support of the Ústí Region. The year before, with the help of the Ústí Region, he partially restored the track at the Lovečkovice railway station and is now working on a roughly five-kilometer connection with Zubrnice.

The Levín stop is located just outside Lovečkovice in the direction of Úštěk, which is a section that enthusiasts are only dreaming of renewing.
