JAKARTA – Answer the question where iPhone made is not simple. Anyone who has purchased an iPhone or other Apple product, see the note on the packaging company that the product is designed in California, but that doesn’t mean it’s made there.

Although the company’s industrial designers are located at Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino, California, Apple relies heavily on foreign manufacturers for components and assembly of finished products. The company designs the iPhone in California, buying components from suppliers in 43 countries on six continents.

It is known, Apple designs and sells the iPhone, Apple does not manufacture the components. Instead, Apple uses manufacturers from around the world to ship individual parts.

For example, a manufacturer specializes in a particular item, a camera specialist produces lenses and camera assemblies, a screen specialist makes displays, and so on. Assembly, on the other hand, is the process of taking all the individual components made by a specialist manufacturer and combining them into a finished, working iPhone.

Apple draws materials from around the world to offer the best technology at the lowest possible price. Quoted from the Gesrepair page, more than 200 companies around the world produce and supply Apple iPhone manufacturers with the components they need to produce cellphones.

Manufacturers of these components make memory chips, glass display interfaces, cases, cameras, and everything in between. The countries in which these manufacturers are located also vary widely, coming from companies in South Korea, China, Taiwan, Germany, Japan, India, and many other countries, including the United States.
