The project will be experimental and will run until August 2023. It will be possible to submit documents and pay the customs duty through Diyu.
The Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution, according to which an experimental project on customs clearance of a vehicle through the application of state services Diya is launched. The government supported the corresponding decision at a meeting on Wednesday, September 15.
“For Ukrainians, such import of cars often turned into restrictions and inconveniences. We plan to make it possible to clear a vehicle through Diya. We are adopting a relevant resolution that will launch the implementation of such an experimental project,” said Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal.
He added that everything will be “as simple as possible, convenient, without any corruption.”
The pilot project will run from December 2, 2021 to August 31, 2023.
During this period, Ukrainians will be able to submit the documents necessary for customs clearance of the car through Diyu, pay the customs fee and complete the registration of the vehicle in automatic mode.
Calculation of customs payments will take place automatically with the further possibility to pay through Diyu, the draft resolution says.
We will remind, in the Cabinet of Ministers figured out how to simplify customs clearance of a car using the Diya application back in May this year.
Previously, Rada simplified customs clearance for eurobills and reduced fines from UAH 170 thousand to UAH 8.5 thousand. Cars imported into Ukraine before December 31, 2020, and which are in the customs regimes of temporary import or transit, fall under simplified customs clearance.
