In the US state of Arkansas, a tornado hit the city of Monette on Friday, December 10, one person died. This is reported by the TV channel Kait8.
Craighead County Judge Marvin Day said one person was killed and five seriously injured Friday night when a tornado struck a nursing home.
At least 20 people were trapped in a nursing home but were rescued.
Initially, two deaths were reported. Rescuers found out that one person died.
As of Friday evening, at least eight tornadoes have been reported across the region.
