The Russian Ministry of Defense told some details about the incident with the British ship Defender, which occurred off the coast of Crimea in June.

“When the bombs fell along the course of the British, there was no particular smell of tolerance. Our Su-24M carried out precautionary bombing with 250 kg aerial bombs along the course of the destroyer at a distance of less than one kilometer from the ship. This was not good for the foreign crew,” says Kartapolov.
According to him, it was not possible to carry out the bulk, since the ship that originally monitored the destroyer was much smaller in displacement.
Kartapolov added that all the actions of the fleet were completely controlled through the National Center for Defense Management by the Minister of Defense, decisions were made according to the situation.
