In Russia, the number of deaths due to coronavirus over the past seven days has increased by 4 643. This is a new maximum since the beginning of the pandemic, writes TASS with reference to data from the federal operational headquarters for infection control.

The previous maximum was recorded a week ago and amounted to 3,921 deaths.

In the capital of the Russian Federation, 809 deaths due to coronavirus were recorded during this period, which is almost a quarter higher than the previous maximum, which was also reached the previous week.

The mortality rate in Moscow has been at 1.65% for 10 days in a row.
