BOLMORA.COM, BOLSEL – Entering the rainy season which usually occurs at the end of the year, the Health Service (Dinkes) of South Bolaang Mongondow Regency (Bolsel) asked residents to be aware of cases of dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF).

“With a lot of stagnant water during the rainy season, it can become a breeding ground for mosquito larvae which can be the cause of dengue fever,” said Head of the Bolsel Health Office, Dr. Sadly Mokodongan, Tuesday (11/16/2021).

He conveyed that clean and healthy living behavior continues, especially in maintaining a clean and healthy environment. because DHF will easily attack if the environmental conditions are not clean, this awareness is important.

“People must have self-awareness to always maintain cleanliness, by frequently cleaning around the house, and always pay attention to places where standing water such as gutters are always cleaned,” he said.

The former president director of the Bolsel Hospital also said that from January to November 2021, 11 people had been infected with dengue fever, while in 2020 12 people were exposed to DPD.

“In the period from January to November there were no patients with dengue cases who died,” he concluded.
