Hungarians massively vaccinated against coronavirus

25.8% of the adult population received both doses of one of the drugs registered in Hungary.

Hungary became the first state in the European Union, where more than half of the population over 18 years old (50.5%) received at least one dose of vaccine against the new coronavirus infection. This is evidenced by the data Online European Center for Disease Prevention and Control Wednesday 6 May.

It is also indicated that both doses of one of the drugs registered in the country were received by 25.8% of the adult population of Hungary.

Malta is in second place in terms of vaccination rates in the EU (47.1% and 25%, respectively). Finland (38.4%) closed the top three in terms of the number of adult citizens who had given at least one injection, and Denmark (14.4%) in terms of fully vaccinated persons.

Among the laggards are Bulgaria (10.7% of citizens with one vaccination, 3.8% with two) and Latvia (13.9% and 2.5%).

Among the European countries that are not EU members, Iceland showed a high result, where 39% of the population received at least one component of the vaccine.

In total, the first dose of the vaccine was received by 30.4% of the population of the EU countries and non-members of Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein. Both injections were made by 11.3%. All in all in the EU have received 154.1 million vaccinations from the coronavirus.
