JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – PT Chery Motor Indonesia said it will produce vehicles locally in the country to be more competitive starting this year. But in the early stages, related activities will hitch a ride first.
Because currently the company admits that it is still looking for an ideal factory location, so it is estimated that independent localization activities can only be carried out in the next two years, aka 2024.
“We are still looking for the factory. The target is for two years, namely in 2024 to produce cars independently,” said PT Chery Motor Indonesia’s Marketing & Product Director, Major Qin, Friday (7/4/2022).

“Before that, we will use the assembly facility in the West Java area,” he continued, reluctant to reveal further whose factory facilities.
On the same occasion, he also said that his party is trying to provide a different experience for premium SUV lovers.
The first vehicle product to be made and presented in Indonesia is the Tiggo 7 Pro. Then it will be continued with Tiggo 8 Pro and Skytour.
It is known, Tiggo 7 Pro is equipped with an ultra-clear central control screen measuring 10.25 inches that can interact with cellular phones, LCDs and air conditioners.
