The bodies of the 9 deceased were taken to their places of origin after the completion of the autopsy. The bodies of 4 people were self-killed at Palakkad District Hospital and the bodies of 5 people at Alathur Taluk Hospital. There were 42 students and five teachers in the excursion group bus and 40 passengers in the KSRTC bus. Currently, two people are being treated at Thrissur Medical College Hospital and one at Nenmara Avitis Hospital, according to hospital authorities. No one is being treated for serious injuries.
