In the battle of the Pancypriot Examinations from today

With the New Greek course, the All-Cypriot Entrance Examinations for the Higher and Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) of Cyprus and Greece and the military schools begin today.

Over 5,000 students are vying for a place in the Higher Educational Institutions of Cyprus and Greece, waiting for the start of their new life, with the completion of their student years.

However, from the Ministry of Education, it is announced that everything is ready, as there is a lot of experience in conducting the exams. The night before the examination, the theme committee met as every year in a hotel for the multiplication of the papers on site. The written documents are sent in sealed envelopes to the school units.

The material of the Pancypriot Examinations is included in the guide of the Pancypriot Examinations which is published every year at the end of January, without any differentiation.

What candidates need to know

Candidates must bring the following with them: National Identity Card or Passport, Candidate Card for participation in the 2023 Pan-Cypriot Entrance Examinations (To be printed from the online platform), Blue pens.

All candidates must consult the 2023 Pan-Cypriot Entrance Examinations Guide, the 2023 Pan-Cypriot Entrance Examinations Material and Table of Specifications, for information on the required examination materials for each subject (e.g. geometrical instruments, special pencils, non-programmable computing machines, etc.) as well as for their further information on the courses being examined.

Final students of Public High Schools and Technical Schools are invited to use the calculators that are checked and sealed by their School.

Graduates of previous years, as well as graduates and seniors of Private Schools, are invited to present the calculators they will use in the exams for checking and stamping at the following High Schools:

Nicosia: Apostolou Varnavas High School

Limassol: Laniteo Lyceum

Larnaca: Agios Georgios High School

Paphos: High School A ́ Ethnarchi Makariou G ́

Famagusta: Paralimni High School

Using a computer that is not sealed or programmable will be considered a phishing attempt.

The Examinations Service reminds that the exams are conducted on the basis of the Laws of 2017 to 2022 on the Conduct of the All-Cypriot Entrance Examinations to the Higher and Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) of Cyprus and Greece, which among other things provide for the following:

The candidate’s personal details are written by the candidates only in the special space on the cover of the answer book and are opaquely covered by the invigilator when the answer book is delivered.

The surrender of the written answer book by every candidate leaving the examination hall is mandatory.

No candidate is allowed to leave the examination room before forty (40) minutes have passed from the start time of the examination.

Candidates have an obligation to behave with decorum, to comply with the regulations and to faithfully follow the instructions and recommendations of the invigilators.

It is particularly emphasized that baiting, or attempted baiting, or refusing to comply with the instructions and recommendations of the invigilators even entails the expulsion of the examinee from the room and the nullification of his writing in the given course.

Candidates are not allowed to bring into the examination hall a mobile phone, books, notebooks, notes, logarithmic or other tables, programmable electronic devices, electronic translators, any other electronic device that gives access to information (e.g. electronic watch), or anything related to the course under consideration. Answers must be written in blue pen. The shapes can also be made with a pencil. The use of correction fluid is not permitted.

Eating is prohibited inside the exam room.

A candidate who is a confirmed case of the Covid-19 disease should report to his examination center as usual, taking all measures to prevent the spread of the disease. He should then report the fact to the Examination Center Manager who will in turn ensure the smooth conduct of his examination.
