The Egyptian Minister of Health, Dr. Hala Zayed, has announced her acceptance of the challenge called by Tidros Adhanom Gebresus, the Director of the World Health Organization, to wash hands.
The Minister of Health published on her Twitter account a video that includes a detailed explanation of how to wash hands properly, while she is in the bathroom.
She said, “She calls on the Egyptian people to accept the challenge and learn to wash hands and keep on doing it to protect ourselves and our country.”
On Sunday, the Ministry of Health and Population announced that 62 of those infected with the Corona virus have been discharged from isolation and quarantine hospitals, all Egyptians, after receiving the necessary medical care and recovery according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, bringing the total of those recovering from the virus to 1176 cases until today.
Dr. Khaled Mujahid, Advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and the official spokesperson of the Ministry, stated that the number of cases whose laboratory results have been converted from positive to negative for Corona virus (Covid-19) increased to 1502 cases, including the 11776 recovered.
He added that 215 new cases that proved positive for laboratory analyzes of the virus, including two foreigners, were registered as part of the ministry’s surveillance and investigation procedures, according to WHO guidelines, pointing to the death of 10 cases.
