An all-Bulgarian march for peace and neutrality was held in several cities of the country, in protest the decision of the National Assembly Bulgaria will provide military aid to Ukrainereported BNT.
In Sofia, citizens gathered in front of the National Assembly building.
In Varna, nearly 200 people took part in the protest march, which closed the central streets of the city for about an hour. According to them, Bulgaria should first take care of its own army, and not arm a foreign one and thus get involved in a military conflict. During the protest, a collection of signatures for peace and Bulgaria’s neutrality began.
He joined the all-Bulgarian march demanding peace and neutrality in Burgas. Mostly parents gathered in the square in front of the municipality and spoke out against the decision to send weapons to Ukraine. According to them, this is drawing Bulgaria into the war.
Socialists from all over the country – members, activists, as well as the parliamentary group “BSP for Bulgaria” joined the all-Bulgarian march for peace and neutrality. The initiative takes place in over 20 cities in the country, and its declared aim is to show the attitude of the Bulgarian people towards the decision to send weapons to Ukraine.
