The Russians are already looking for partners for a “tribunal” over Ukraine

Countries that “demonstrate an independent position on the Ukrainian issue” should be involved in the work on the formation of a “tribunal”, Alexander Bastrykin believes.

The aggressor country Russia can organize its own “international tribunal” against Ukraine for its alleged “war crimes against the peace and security of mankind.” This was stated by the head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Alexander Bastrykin in an interview Russian newspaperpublished on Monday, July 25th.

Bastrykin immediately stated that “the creation of such a tribunal under the auspices of the UN in the current perspective is extremely doubtful.”

“It would be more appropriate to work out this issue with Russian partners in such organizations as the CIS, CSTO, BRICS, SCO. The establishment of the court and its charter could be formalized by an agreement between Russia, member countries of these organizations, the Donetsk and republics,” he said.

Bastrykin also believes that it is advisable to involve other countries that “demonstrate an independent position on the Ukrainian issue” in the work on the formation of an “international body of justice.” Among such states, he named Syria, Iran and Bolivia.

Recall that Ukraine plans to create a one-time international tribunal for the trial of the top leadership of Russiaincluding the current President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

Earlier it was reported that the International Criminal Court in The Hague has reasonable suspicions about the Russian troops falling under the jurisdiction of the court. Already been Deadlines set for filing first charges.
