Our new podcast is coming like fall: loaded with new and beautiful things. In this case, the pages are from a book, editorial news that Edu Martín and Mar Gallardo will not stop commenting on. Are you looking for recommendations? Well, don’t miss the podcast. Because our presenters will also talk about the new edition of the Nobel Prizes. More specifically in the literary category, the one we like the most.

But not only that. In this podcast we have a place to talk about topics that may not be so mediatic but that seem particularly important to us, such as the World Mental Health Day, which was held this past October 10. Did you know that according to the World Health Organization, one in four people has, has had or will have a mental health problem in their lifetime? The most common problems being anxiety and depression.

They might seem like strange figures but the truth is that specialists have seen how consultations grew after the pandemic or that we have seen an Olympian like Simone Biles withdraw from competition to prioritize her mental health. And it is that mental illnesses are as common as physical illnesses and we can all be affected by them. In the podcast we talk about the need to combat stigma with knowledge and empathy and, of course, there is no shortage of literary recommendations:

  • Find your vitamin personby Marian Rojas
  • The good thing about having a bad dayby Anabel Gonzalez
  • Faced with depressionby Juan Antonio Vallejo-Nágera

And on the importance of making visible, a very important date is in the month of October: the Writers’ Day.

It does not take much more explanation to understand the message that hides behind this day and that will fill social networks with literary proposals under the hashtag #LeoAutorasOct. We are not going to lose track of him and we even wanted to advance a bit. That is why we have chatted on our podcast with the university professor and Vice Dean Dunia Etura, a specialist in feminism in the media. We invite you to join the podcast just so you can listen to his interview: there is no waste.

And of course in the program we always keep a space to share with you the novelties that reach bookstores. We will advance you some details and we will put your teeth a little long, if you allow us. Prepare that they come:

  • To where the sea ends, Alaitz Leceaga – Fernando Lara Prize for Novel 2021
  • First person singular, Haruki Murakami
  • Miss Merkel. The case of the retired chancellor, David Safier
  • Dance of the dead, Care Santos
  • My cousins”, JJ Benítez
  • The colors of time, Ana Alonso

And these are just a few touches of what awaits you on the podcast. If you want more and do not want to miss the next episode in which we will dissect EVERYTHING that the 70th edition of the Premio Planeta brings us … you will find us on the usual channels: Instagram TV, Spotify, Ivoox and Apple Podcasts.
