Currently in residency in New York, and having toured extensively to compose a portrait of artist Jean-Michel Basquiat as part of the project Too soft for anyone I know with artist Stephen Torton, he began his quest to write a fictional film Emma Goldmann, intellectual born in Russia in 1869 and emigrated to New York in 1885, political activist and anarchist writer known for her radical libertarian and feminist writings and speeches. Presentation by Yolande Zaubermann : French director, artist and filmmaker Yolande Zauberman begins her career with a first documentary on apartheid in South Africa, Classified people which won, among other things, the Grand Prix at the Paris Festival and the Bronze Rose at the Bergamo Festival (Italy). Her second film Criminal caste (1989), filmed in India, was selected for the Cannes Film Festival. Three years later, she turned to fiction with the release of Hi Ivan, this is Abraham (Youth Award at the Cannes Film Festival). In 2011, Would you have sex with an Arab? is selected at the Venice International Film Festival and, in 2020, his film m won numerous awards including the César for best documentary.
