A fire in a residential building in the New York Bronx area killed 19 people, including nine children. On Sunday, January 9, reports The Associated Press.
The publication clarified that the fire took place on the third floor of a 19-story building at the intersection of Tibaut Avenue and Folin Street at about 10.50 am local time.

Rescuers who went to the scene of the emergency said that in total 63 people were injured in the fire, of which 32 were hospitalized.
