In Lviv region, three people were hospitalized after snake bites

Snakes have become active in the western region of Ukraine

One victim was taken to the Peremyshlyanskaya central regional hospital, two more – to the Turkovskaya hospital.

Over the past day, three people, including one child, have suffered from snake bites in the Lviv region. All are hospitalized in a state of moderate severity, informs GSChS on Sunday, July 11.

In particular, at 14:55 Saturday, the 101 rescue service received a message that a woman born in 1987 was hospitalized in the Peremyshlyan central regional hospital with a diagnosis of a snake bite to the right foot. The victim is a resident of Lviv.

At 17:48 a message was received that a girl, born in 2008, was admitted to the admission department at the Turkovsk hospital, with a diagnosis of a snake bite in the left shin. The victim is a resident of the Svidnik village of the Skhidnitsa village territorial community.

On the same day, at 20:00, a message was received that a woman born in 1970 was admitted to the admission department at the Turkovskaya hospital, with a diagnosis of a snake bite in the right heel. The victim is a resident of the Karpatskoe village of the Borinsky settlement territorial community of the Samborsky district.

Earlier this week in Ivano-Frankivsk region three children were taken to hospitals after being bitten by snakes. Young patients ended up in intensive care.

It was also reported that in the Lviv region 9 year old child was hospitalized with a snake bite. He was on vacation with his parents at the resort of Skhidnytsia.
