Students of Kharkiv Polytechnic went on strike – they say that many of the teachers are sick with COVID-19, and the leadership is silent about this.

Students of the Kharkov Polytechnic Institute went on strike since October 29. About it informs Telegram channel KhPI Students on Tuesday, October 26.

University students say that there are many patients with coronavirus among teachers, and the management is silent about this. At the same time, many educational institutions of Kharkov have already gone to distance learning, while the full-time department of the KhPI continues to work.

In connection with the current situation, students demand that the university comply with the recommendations of the Ministry of Education and Science, in particular, the transfer of training to a distance form. And also the transfer of unvaccinated teachers to a distance form with salary retention, instead of dismissal.

Finally, the students stated that they did not intend to stop the educational process, but only asked to transfer them to distance learning while preserving payments and health.
