An unknown buyer paid almost $140,000 for the Toyota GRMN Yaris. This copy has a rare color and some exclusive options.
In Japan, a rare charged hatchback Toyota GRMN Yaris was sold at auction. The car went under the hammer for almost $140,000. About it told on the Carscoops website.
Hot-hatch Toyota GRMN Yaris was released in a limited edition for the Japanese market of 500 copies. They were offered with the Circuit or Rally package.
The hatchback sold at auction was fitted with the Circuit Package. This modification has many improvements.

To reduce weight, the rear row of seats was removed, and a brace was installed instead. The hatchback’s hood is made from carbon fiber and there are 545 more spot welds than the standard model.

The Toyota GRMN Yaris received 18-inch BBS forged wheels and larger brakes. Also featured are Bilstein adjustable dampers, extended side fenders and a carbon fiber rear wing. This allowed to reduce the weight of the car by 20 kg.

In addition, the modification is also distinguished by a modified 1.6-liter three-cylinder turbocharged engine. It produces the standard 268 hp, but the torque has increased from 370 Nm to 390 Nm. Further refinements were a closer-ratio six-speed manual transmission and mechanical self-locking differentials front and rear.
An unnamed buyer paid 18,165,000 yen ($139,497) for his Toyota GRMN Yaris Circuit Package. The hatchback is finished in matte gray, which is limited to just 50 examples. The mileage of the car is only 66 km.
