In Italy, these divers release a whale trapped in a huge fishing net (video)

Volunteers from the Filicudi Wildlife Conservation association spotted a troubled whale off Lipari, Sicily. The animal had its fin stuck in a huge fishing net.

Divers then tried to free the animal. It took them two hours to cut the net wrapped around its tail. Filicudi Wildlife Conservation wrote on his Facebook page: “We hope that after regaining strength, it will have joined other individuals seen the day before. In the next few days, we will continue to look for her and check her health if we meet her again“.
