Nowhere in the world is and still is more fanatically vaccinated than in Israel. And this big real-world test so far proves that a country can get rid of the pandemic through a robust vaccination program.
Cases of Covid-19 and hospital admissions have decreased dramatically among people who have been vaccinated. And early data suggests the vaccines work almost as well in practice as they do in clinical trials.

While you can see the pandemic disappearing in the elderly, it is raging in Israel among non-vaccinated people. One cause that attracts a lot of attention in Israel is the high contamination rate among the haredi, ultra-Orthodox Jews who in large families live together in fairly closed communities.
