Megan Mark hinted at the reasons why both she and her husband, Prince Harry, decided to resign from the British royal duties at the beginning of the year.

In her first public address since leaving the royal family, the Duchess of Sussex has mentioned the difficulties she faces in “challenging” those in power to address important issues.

The 38-year-old Duchess has encouraged young women around the world to “fight injustice.” This nine-minute speech, shown at the Girl Up 2020 Leadership Summit, was pre-recorded.

Hinting at his decision to leave the royal family, Megan said: “Your inner feeling will tell you what is right and what is wrong. What is fair and what is unfair. The hardest part – and the hardest thing for me – was to follow my conviction with action. ”

“Use your voice in both on and off to support each other. There will always be negative voices, and sometimes these voices can seem too loud and excruciating. You can and will use your own voices to reduce noise. Because it’s just noise. Your voices are the voices of truth. And hope. Your voices can and should be much louder, ”Megana said in her emotional address.

The Duchess of Sussex has encouraged girls to work with themselves every day and learn to stand up for their own truth: “Even when it seems difficult and makes others feel uncomfortable. We need to defend ourselves and stand up for those who try to be heard from the heart. ”

The virtual summit, which was addressed by Duchess Megana, was “attended” by about 40,000 people between the ages of 13 and 22, from 172 different countries.
