“In everyday life I find fantastic challenges”, Tristán Ulloa | leisure and culture

Mostoles

Tristán Ulloa this time gets into the role of Lee, a hustler, opposite his brother, Austin, a screenwriter (played by Pablo Derqui). The two, together with the actors Jeannine Mestre and José Luis Esteban, go on stage at the Teatro del Bosque in Mostoles to perform a text by Sam Shepard and adapted by Eduardo Mendoza. Tristán says that he had been wanting to act with his friend and co-worker, Pablo Derqui, for some time, and this opportunity came.

A work directed by Montse Tixé and in which the author portrays the outcome of the rivalry between two brothers who represent, with their duality, the conflictive nature of human beings.

Tristán Ulloa assures that “in everyday life” he finds “fantastic challenges”, in a profession in which there is no ceiling “because we are always learning”, he explains.

There are many years of trade behind him and he is excited about what he does and everything that has to come. When he began to work on his character, Lee, he assures that he felt some vertigo but that the work and the honesty with which he faced it helped him achieve it.

For him, True West “is the closest thing to a rock concert I’ve ever done.” The actor explains that the replicas and the hand in hand with Pablo Derqui is “the feeling of a saint in the void. In no work are there two equal functions but in this one it is accentuated even more. We depend on the energy of the optro and there is something very thug in Sam Shepard that leads us to put ourselves in places as performers and take risks. It’s like playing the guitar one and then the other.”

The play can be seen on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. at the Teatro del Bosque de Móstoles.
