As a result, the number of confirmed infections in Estonia has reached 5,046, but 2793 people have been confirmed to recover.
No deaths from the new coronavirus disease Covid-19 were reported in Estonia last day. A total of 73 people died of the disease in Estonia.
A total of 264,808 tests have been performed in Estonia to detect infection with the new coronavirus. 1056 analyzes were performed in the previous day, thus 5.8% of all analyzes were positive.
Out of 61 newly detected cases, in 30 cases the infection occurred in contact with known persons, in seven cases the infected persons returned from abroad – in two cases from Russia and in the remaining cases from Belgium, Greece, Great Britain, Finland and Spain. For the remaining cases, it is not yet known where the infection may have occurred.
The hospitals are currently treating 47 Covid-19 patients, two of whom require artificial lung ventilation.
According to the Estonian Department of Health, the 14-day cumulative number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population on November 1 in Estonia is 72.31.
