The man died 12 days after vaccination due to thrombosis. He was injected with the vaccine manufactured by AstraZeneca.
In Croatia, the first death was recorded after vaccination against coronavirus – a 33-year-old man died. About this on Tuesday, December 7, reported HINA publication with reference to the Croatian Agency for Medicines and Health Products (HALMED).
“HALMED and the Croatian Institute of Public Health today completed an assessment of a suspected side effect in a 33-year-old man who died 12 days after being vaccinated against COVID-19 with AstraZeneca,” it said.
As indicated, materials for analysis in order to establish or refute a direct link between immunization against coronavirus and the death of a person due to thrombosis were taken on March 12.
The department emphasized that this is the first incident in the country when the vaccination against COVID-19 led to serious side effects. Previously, all deaths after vaccination were not associated with vaccination.
Note that in Croatia, with a population of more than 4 million people, 2.2 million people are fully vaccinated against COVID.
In Brazil, it was reported that a nurse mistakenly gave two babies a coronavirus vaccine manufactured by Pfizer / BioNTech. The children developed a high temperature and started vomiting. They were urgently hospitalized.
