In China, robotic taxis are already competing with ordinary taxis

The technology of this Apollo Go vehicle is in fact designed to have level 4 autonomous capabilities, which means that it can walk on its own without any human assistance.

Baidu also firmly believes that in the future, autonomous taxi this will be really profitable for them in terms of income, and on the other hand, the fare can be cheaper than the current traditional taxi fare.
