The owner of the house, Ruth Hamilton, said that she woke up to hear the barking of a dog, the sound of the ceiling collapsing and feeling the debris on her face.
“I’ve never been so scared in my life. I didn’t know what to do, so I called 911, and when I was talking to the operator, I turned the pillow over and saw a stone between two pillows,” she said.
According to the woman, the policeman who came to call her initially assumed that it was a construction waste from a nearby construction site, but they said that they did not make explosions that night, but saw a flash in the sky.
“Then we knew it was a meteorite,” said Hamilton. She was not hurt.
As reported CBC News, at the University of Western Ontario confirmed that the rock is a meteorite.
