The portable device is able to analyze a sample taken from the nasal cavity in 12 minutes. The test is especially suitable for people without symptoms of covid-19, who want to be tested, for example, before visiting relatives or simply for their own peace of mind.
Accuracy is not 100%
According to the company, the accuracy of the tests is high, but not 100%. Therefore, according to the DPA, it will not be possible to use this type of test as proof of infectivity when traveling abroad.
Britain, where more than 20,000 people are infected per day in recent days, as well as other European countries, is unable to ensure that the required number of tests are carried out. Government advisers have only recently admitted that “there is room for improvement” when conducting tests.
The United Kingdom, which has a population of about 67 million, registers the most deaths with covid-19 in Europe, almost 45,000. The worst affected regions are currently northern England, parts of Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
