During a heart attack, the blood supply that carries oxygen to the heart is cut off, and the heart muscles begin to die. This condition is a medical emergency that needs to be treated immediately.
Some heart attack sufferers experience warning symptoms such as chest pain. However, not all feel chest pain.

Heart Attack Symptoms
There are several symptoms of a heart attack besides chest pain. As abstracted Healthline, the symptoms that may accompany a heart attack in addition to chest pain are as follows.
- Chest discomfort
- Short breath
- Pain in the arms, shoulders, or neck
- Nauseous
- Sweating
- Head feels light or dizzy
- Fatigue
- Pain in the upper body
- Hard to breathe
Heart attack sufferers may experience several symptoms regardless of gender.
However, gender can also differentiate the presentation, biology, and outcome of a heart attack.
Causes of Heart Attack
Heart attacks are generally caused by coronary heart disease. This condition occurs when there is plaque formed from fat, cholesterol, calcium, and other substances in the arteries.
There are two types of heart attacks. The first type occurs because plaque on the inner walls of the arteries ruptures and sends cholesterol and other substances into the bloodstream.
These substances can cause blood clots that clog arteries.
