In 2020, gaming laptops increased by 60%, compared to 35% for the entire laptop segment. We remain leaders in the PC market

Sales of gaming laptops, which have superior graphics performance but also higher prices, have accelerated sharply in 2020, said Bogdan Ivaşcu, country manager for Taiwanese company Asus in Romania, during an online conference.

“Last year in Romania the growth registered by the gaming laptops segment was higher than the one registered by the laptops segment in general. We are talking about an increase of about 60% for gaming laptops, while laptop sales in general have increased by only 35%. According to market studies, in the gaming segment, as well as in laptops in general, Asus remains the market leader in Romania and in 2020 occupying approximately 42% of sales of gaming laptops “, said Ivaşcu.
