With a new president and a new guideline, the Knicks are aiming for the top. And it starts with a little cleaning in the roster. Several players are likely to pack their bags in the coming months.
Stuck in the last places of their Eastern Conference, the Knicks are still difficult to see. The proposed game is soft even if there is clearly better since the arrival at the post of Mike Miller. Unfortunately with a poorly constructed roster, it’s hard to hope for anything.
Associate Marcus Morris, Julius Randle and Bobby Portis? Not the best idea possible. James Dolan, the owner, probably shares this opinion as he kindly asked Steve Mills to leave the franchise after his desires for greatness. A few weeks later, Leon Rose, a former agent, was appointed head of the presidency in all discretion.
Discretion seems to be the order of the day. Rose tiptoes and intends to bring the Knicks back to the heights in the East. An approach that seems to appeal to fans for the moment. And the rumor to come will likely fit in that line, as Julius Randle would no longer be welcome in the BIG Apple. According to the NY Post, the former Lakers player may be concerned.

Marc Berman explains that Rose is not a big fan of the interior and that a trade is a possibility in the coming season. If he doesn’t and no franchise is interested in him, then the Knicks can still turn down his final year of contract at the end of next season.
Yet Randle knows Rose well from having been represented by CAA, the president’s former agency. But no special treatment, even in New York.
Randle signed last summer for three years and $ 63 million. Since then, its contribution has been debated. With 19.5 points and 9.7 rebounds, the interior has good averages but its individualistic game is often singled out. To tell the truth, it would even have creates mayhem in the franchise locker room. All the more reason to think that Randle might not stick around for long.
Julius Randle may be getting ready to leave soon. The season still has to start for that.
