Edwin Hubble is considered to be one of the most important and prominent astronomers, especially in the twentieth century. In 1920, he discovered that apart from the Milky Way Galaxy, there are countless other galaxies out there. This discovery then changed thinking about the universe and the earth. Thanks to this great discovery, his name was immortalized into one of the outer space telescopes, the Hubble Telescope.
Neil Armstrong

Armstrong was born in Ohio, United States in 1930. After completing his studies at Purdue University, he joined the American National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics before he became an astronaut. Neil Armstrong and his partner Buzz Aldrin became the first people to set foot and walk on the lunar surface on July 16, 1969.
Nicolaus Copernicus
This Polish-born man is called the Father of Modern Astronomy. Nicolaus Copernicus was the first European astronomer, scientist, and mathematician to propose a heliocentric theory of the universe. This theory explains that the earth and other planets revolve around the sun.
At that time, most European scientists still adhered to the geocentric theory or the earth being the center of the universe. Of course, the proposal of Nicolaus Copernicus’ theory was rejected by the majority of scientists, philosophers, and ancient Bible writers in Europe at that time. However, Nicolaus Copernicus continued to prove his theory and published his major astronomical work entitled ‘Six Books Concerning the Revolutions of the Heavenly Orbs’ in 1543.
Copernicus also argued that the Earth rotates daily on its axis (rotation) and that there is a gradual shift of that axis (revolution) that causes seasonal changes.
Elon Musk
Magazine TIME had issued a list of ’25 Most Influential People in the Space Field’ and the name Elon Musk was included in the list of names. As is known, Elon Musk is the founder of SpaceX, one of the largest and most famous space companies in the world. Elon Musk and SpaceX have created various innovations in the field of space, one of which is the robotic Dragon capsule which has been launched to the International Space Station.
