Impatient grandfather causes damage with his truck at the vaccination center in Tamaulipas

One elderly man who didn’t want to line up Drive Thru to receive the reinforcement against covid-19, caused multiple damages with his truck inside the Autonomous University of Tamaulipas Tampico campus, by rebelling against the authorities and security personnel of the educational institution.

The incident occurred this Tuesday at 08:00 a.m. when he arrived aboard a recent model Chevrolet Tahoe truck.

René Naranjo Sánchez, Secretary of Traffic and Roads of Tampico, the identity of the detainee was withheld, but he explained that shortly before the start of the vaccination he arrived at the main gate of the CTU, in line for the Drive Thru.

As the queue was long, it went to the front, which caused annoyance among those who had arrived first.

The elderly man demanded that he be vaccinated and after a series of frictions with security personnel, he accelerated his truck, breaking the latch on the access door, damaging both, and continued on his way.

Internal security guards of the CTU crossed a Chevrolet Silverado truck but it was crashed.

State police and the National Guard had to intervene to stop the march, while the grandfather stayed inside the unit.

It was some time later that his lawyer arrived and convinced him to leave and thus be detained.

The man was taken to the offices of the Secretary of Traffic and Roads while his insurer spoke with the affected parties.

The vaccination day was affected for two hours.

Since Monday, the anticovid reinforcement for people over 50 began in the metropolitan area such as Tampico, Altamira and Madero.
