Swish, the basket has just become a string in the Moda Center, and Damian Lillard delivered all of Portland in a shot that immediately became legendary. This is the last image we have of Paul George on an NBA parquet. Defender of this incredible shot, he did not bother the Blazers sniper enough and will declare at a press conference that it was a “bad shot”. A shot so bad that it managed to destroy the Thunder to pieces for a summer. In the middle of July, Paul George requested a transfer to join the Clippers and after only 3 weeks of waiting due to an injury, he will finally have the opportunity to put on the Los Angeles jersey. The city of his childhood in which he wanted so much to play, much to the dismay of the Lakers.
As a reminder, Paul George is in full swing in his 29 year premium. Last year, he had by far the best season in his career 28 points per game. He was even among the favorites of the MVP race for many months before suffering the downsizing of his team. Today, Paul George steps up to the Clippers as one of the most versatile superstars in this league. He will find his new team Kawhi Leonard, to form what could quickly become the scariest duo in NBA. Especially when we see the Clippers already buzzing without one of their two new leaders. You have mouth water too! Good news, Adrian Wojnarowski announced that he would finally make his debut with the Clippers. Unfortunately for spectators at the Staples Center, it will not start before their eyes Los Angeles but during a road trip. The Clippers go to Houston, then New Orleans (Wednesday and Thursday). It’s official, Paul George will start his season in one of these two games. The decision will be made in the next few hours but it is now official, PG is back !
