That helped her to let go, to deal better with criticism. “I had to realize that when others say something about me, it doesn’t necessarily say anything about who I am and what I stand for. Fortunately, I had a lot of time for self-reflection in jail.“

But the fact that Grives had to grumble about drug trafficking wasn’t all that troubled the minds. Grives would have had a bit too cozy in a dressing room with, yes, André Hazes. The actress agrees that it was indeed cozy in that particular dressing room, but that it was not as juicy as might suggest. “André is a nice guy”, she admits. “We also had a great time in the dressing room… With six other people, yes! We had drinks and sang songs. No more.”
In addition, Grives sees no match between her and the singer anyway. “Look what types he falls on and look at me. I’m way too young for him! ”
