Imanuelle Grives and Manuel Broekman have been added to the cast of Pregnant & Co, a new project by director and producer Johan Nijenhuis. Distributor Dutch FilmWorks announced this on Thursday.
Broekman takes over the role from Rolf Sanchez, who canceled the recordings due to an overloaded schedule.
For Grives, it is the first film role she has landed since she was sentenced to jail time in November 2019 for drug possession and trafficking. The Dutch actress was caught in July of that year with a fair amount of drugs at the Belgian festival Tomorrowland and ended up spending two months in a Belgian prison.
It was previously announced that Lieke van Lexmond and Waldemar Torenstra will play the leading roles in Pregnant & Co, an ensemble film about modern parenting. The recordings started this month.
Nijenhuis has previously directed films such as Costa! (2001), In love with Ibiza (2013) in Our Boys in Miami (2020).
