On Monday, April 26, MP from the Opposition Platform – For Life party Ilya Kiva defended his thesis and received the scientific degree of candidate of sciences. Although the event was not without a scandal.
According to the Telegram channel Pavlovsky News, all interested journalists were not allowed into the building of the Institute for Personnel Training of the State Employment Service of Ukraine. Only representatives of the 1 + 1 TV channels, as well as the sanctioned Newsone, 112 and ZIK, were able to get there, reports “24 channel”.
It is noted that media representatives were refused admission without accreditation from the press service of the People’s Deputy himself.

The police were called to the scene to clarify the situation. Later missed two more journalists of the TV channel “First Independent”, which, as you know, was created by the employees of the representatives of the HLS, Taras Kozak and Viktor Medvedchuk, banned in the country by the media.
Nevertheless, the people’s deputy defended his dissertation, although he could not answer a question about the work from the members of the Scientific Council. Eventually Kiva was awarded the degree of Candidate of Sciences.

We will remind, the deputy of Ukraine from the HLS Ilya Kiva will defend his Ph.D. thesis in the specialty “mechanisms of government”.
Kiva later commented on the news that he will defend his Ph.D. thesis, noting that he worked on it for five years.
As reported OBOZREVATEL, Prosecutor General of Ukraine Irina Venediktova signed five suspicions to people’s deputies in the case of Viktor Medvedchuk, including Ilya Kiva.
