Illness, Medicine / Health | Denmark: 183 omicron cases detected

In Denmark, a total of 183 cases of the omicron variant have been detected with PCR tests and sequencing.

The informs Statens Serum Institut (SSI) Sunday. 151 of the cases were found with PCR tests.

The institute believes that these tests are now so safe that all cases can be considered confirmed.

– We see a worrying increase in the number of omicron-infected in Denmark, says SSI’s CEO Henrik Ullum.

As recently as Friday, there were 18 confirmed cases of the omicron variant of the coronavirus in Denmark.

In Norway, there were 19 confirmed cases of omicron on Friday, according to FHI. However, the real number may be much higher.

The corona eruption at the Louise restaurant in Oslo has been suspected of being the largest omicron eruption so far outside South Africa. The work of examining which virus variants the infected have in the body is still ongoing.
