Illinois vs. Indiana: How to Watch Saturday’s Big Ten Showdown on NBC & Peacock

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Illinois Fighting Illini will host the Indiana Hoosiers this Saturday, September 20, in a Big Ten Saturday Night prime-time matchup broadcast live on both NBC and Peacock. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET from Gies Memorial Stadium.

The game follows NBC Sports’ college football doubleheader, which begins with a 3:30 p.m. ET contest between the Purdue Boilermakers and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, also airing on NBC and Peacock.

Both Illinois and Indiana have started the season with dominant performances. Indiana,led by second-year head coach Curt Cignetti,is coming off an 11-2 season and a College Football Playoff berth.They’ve secured wins against Kennesaw State (56-9), Indiana State (73-0), and Old Dominion (27-14).

Illinois,under fifth-year coach Bret Bielema,has also enjoyed lopsided victories over Western Illinois (52-3),Duke (45-19),and Western Michigan (38-0).Quarterback Luke Altmyer and wide receiver Hank Beatty have been key offensive contributors for the Fighting Illini.

Indiana’s new starting quarterback, fernando Mendoza (a transfer from Cal), has generated early Heisman buzz after a six-touchdown performance against Indiana State. Both teams boast impressive defensive statistics, having allowed only 23 and 22 total points respectively through their first three games.
