This “pimp of the cities” now sleeps behind bars. Hamidou, 25, was sentenced by the Bobigny Criminal Court (Seine-Saint-Denis) to a four-year prison term, including three years in prison. His 23-year-old accomplice received a two-year sentence which she will serve in the form of an electronic bracelet. Justice suspected this couple of having prostituted between the months of May and June a teenager, aged 15, in hotels and apartments in Seine-Saint-Denis, Essonne and Val-d’Oise.
On June 24, officials from the Gagny police station burst into a room at the Baladin hotel in Eaubonne (Val-d’Oise). They discover a young girl there who spontaneously tells them that she has been prostituting herself for two months on behalf of Hamidou and Emilie. “The young girl specifies that she worked every day and received around fifteen clients”, underlines a source familiar with the matter. Investigators from the departmental judicial police service (PJ) of Seine-Saint-Denis are responsible for carrying out further investigations.
Customers were recruited on the Internet
The two pimps are identified, located and then arrested on September 1 at their homes in Saint-Denis and Survilliers in Val-d’Oise. They were taken to the premises of the PJ in Bobigny. During the hearings Hamidou kept silent. But her accomplice confirmed that she participated in the activities, in particular by renting cars to drive the young girl to the places of prostitution. “She tried to minimize her involvement, explaining that she was acting on Hamidou’s orders,” said an investigator. The investigations made it possible to identify several rentals of Airbnb accommodation and hotel rooms which were used to welcome customers who had made an appointment via advertisements posted on specialized websites.
Hamidou was wearing an electronic bracelet the day of his arrest. Five days before, he had already been apprehended by investigators from the Pimping Repression Brigade (BRP). The young man had been arrested in flagrante delicto on the evening of Sunday August 22 in Saint-Denis. He allegedly forced a 20-year-old woman into prostitution, while recovering the money she had received. But released by the judges, on August 24, he left the court free.
