Ignacio Garmendia and Amanda’s bull scene: “Obviously there are things that could be done better” | Entertainment and Shows

On Thursday afternoon Mega returned to broadcast one of the most remembered scenes of Amanda: the bull’s attack on Mateo (Ignacio Garmendia) in the stable.

After learning that Víctor (Felipe Contreras) was his stepbrother, he summoned him to the stable to talk. However, his true intention was to end his life, for which he hit him hard with a shovel, so that he was later rammed by the bull.

But unfortunately for Mateo, Víctor managed to recover from the impact and got up, leaving him locked up with the animal, who was on top of him and left him on the brink of death.

As happened three years ago from its first broadcast, viewers again enjoyed the moment and threw jokes and memes about the scene.

Ignacio Garmendia’s opinion

In conversation with Mega, the actor recalled with humor the commotion that the scene caused and also recounted what it was like to record it.

“It was almost two whole days dedicated to that scene. It was worked, I feel, with a lot of commitment on the part of the whole team because it marked the beginning of the second part of the television series in which everything becomes more intense “, he counted.

In this sense, Garmendia indicated that at the script level, the bull’s attack on Mateo “marks a before and after in history” Amanda.

Regarding the scene itself, the actor acknowledged that it was a complex sequence to carry out and that “Now, seen from a distance, there are obviously things that could be done better, using other resources in terms of visuals, effects, time and rhythm ”.

Finally, Garmendia clarified that it is always difficult to work with animals and that was a particularly difficult scene. “I gave everything to move the scene forward with the technical resources that the production had available”, he concluded.
