Identity of unknown dead man from ‘s-Heerenbroek discovered by accident | Zwolle

The unknown deceased man who was found in ‘s-Heerenbroek on 17 July is a 62-year-old man from Munster. Finally his identity is known and today he was cremated in the presence of four family members.




The police have nevertheless managed to find out the identity of the unknown man, after several calls in the media. The man was found dead on Friday 17 July on Zwolseweg, between Kampen and Zwolle.

He died of natural causes. In his belongings was a note with the name Cornelius Wagner, a date of birth and the place name Münster. This turned out to be the wrong name. When the unknown man was found, the law enforcement a extensive search to be identity to find out

The identity has always remained a mystery, until last week. Thanks to a tip from a policewoman from the north of the Netherlands, we managed to find out the man’s identity. He was reported missing by his family in April. The man left his home in a worrying condition at the time. He was seen internationally at the time.
