Ice Cream Truck Hits 11-Year-Old Boy on Bike in Brooklyn – NBC New York

An 11-year-old boy was seriously injured after being hit by an ice cream truck while riding his bike in Brooklyn, New York City Police said.

The incident occurred when the minor was riding his bicycle around 6:45 p.m. on Friday in Hendrix Streetnear Sutter Avenue in East New York, according to the uniform. That’s when the 58-year-old ice cream truck driver hit the little boy on the road.

City investigators say the truck hit the boy and dragged him and the bike “a short distance.”

Paramedics took the victim to Brookdale Hospital, where he was said to be in critical condition, according to authorities.

The driver, Juan Remigio, 58, remained at the scene and faces charges of driving without a license and failing to yield to a driver.
